Add a Shower In a Corner Of Your Backyard
There’s nothing like time spent outside during the heat of the summer. Whether swimming in the pool, hanging out in the backyard or working in the garden, summertime can be a time when you get plenty of fresh air, but also one where there is lots of dirt, grime and sweat involved that you hate to track in the house. One way to avoid bringing the outside in during the summer months is to install a shower in a private corner of your backyard.
You can set up a corner shower anywhere that you have a bit of room and some access to some plumbing lines (or you can install the lines yourself, if you have the knowledge to do so or can hire a professional plumber to do the job for you). All you need is some space to run the shower head and to install the drainage below so that all the water doesn’t sit and puddle underneath your feet, causing a big mud puddle and defeating the purpose of the shower in the first place.
If you want to install the shower on your own, the easiest way to do that is buy purchasing a shower kit, which will come with all of the components you need to get your shower set up. This can be anything from a basic rudimentary shower head on a pipe with a knob to turn the water on and off, to a more elaborate kit that includes not only the basic shower plumbing, but also enclosures to provide privacy, a bottom shower pan to stand in with the appropriate drainage components to drain the water, and more. Some even have decorative features such as attractive glass doors or areas where you can put a screen or curtain.
Adding a shower to your backyard is not necessarily a luxury, but can keep the outside dirt that you enjoy during the warm summer months where it belongs – outside.
